In the last few months two faces have caused a massive stir at Moon Harbour HQ, the frenchman Seuil and Martinez from Copenhagen. And to take that momentum a step further, after their recent sets alongside Matthias Tanzmann at the monthly Moon Harbour Flights at the Distillery in Leipzig, Tanzmann invited them back to his nearby studio for what ended up being a very fruitful couple of recording sessions.
And the fruits of these collaborations are here for you all as two very special tracks on the split EP „Moon Harbour Joints Vol. 1“, each track combining the artists’ unique personal styles while at the same time giving us more than the sum of the parts.
The A-side is Martinez and Matthias Tanzmann rolling out a compactly arranged track, named „Ohh I don't know“, which is characterised by percussive and impulsive beats, a rythmic chord and engaging vocal samples, all adding to make a unique funk – direct, authentic and deep.
Tanzmann and Seuil’s „My 808 gently weeps“ also builds on and emphasises several layered vocal samples. The result this time is a deeper and more laid back affair, which will undoubtedly become the perfect soundtrack to many an after-party that has stretched long into the shining new day.

title: moon harbour inhouse vol.3
format: mix-cd (also available on 2x12)
moon harbour rec. cat no: mhr010-2
release date: 02/09

two eventful years have passed since the last inhouse-compilation: almost a dozen new eps have been released and played relentlessly in clubs worldwide - releases by moon harbour residents matthias tanzmann, marlow, luna city express and dan drastic, but also by simon flower, miguel toro, gregor tresher, seuil and last but not least martinez, who is set to influence the labels' profile more in the future. moon harbour has now become fully international, with it’s artists receiving global acclaim and booking for gigs far and wide.

in particular it is the label-head matthias tanzmann who has flown the moon harbour banner around the globe. apart from spending nearly every weekend abroad spinning in his inimitable style, he also plays regularly in ibiza, performed for the goethe-institut in china and australia and also somehow found time to release his eagerly-awaited solo debut "restless" in spring 2008.

"inhouse vol.3" ranges from classical house through to the current sound of the clubscene, in which the borders between techno, minimal and house are becoming more and more blurred. the compilation seamlessly combines tracks of friends of moon harbour like boris werner and mathias kaden, who have previously remixed for moon harbour before, artists like martinez and vera who are currently the labels' focus, newcomers dan drastic & chris lattner who are set to cause more sensation in the future, and last but not least: matthias tanzmann and luna city express - the central members of the moon harbour family.

tracklisting:
01. martinez: "blue lagoon"
02. seuil: "double room"
03. boris werner: "feel good"
04. matthias tanzmann: "rugby (mathias kaden’s penalty kick remix)"
05. mathias kaden: "musica"
06. dan drastic & chris lattner: "two in one"
07. matthias tanzmann: "love shaped feeling (reboot rework)"
08. gregor tresher: "break new soil"
09. luna city express: "seven (agnès club mix)"
10. matthias tanzmann: "keep on (boris werner keeps on truckin' mix)"
11. martinez: "momomowha..."

13. vera: "hooked up with da drums"
14. matthias tanzmann: "left behind"

Moon Harbour. After his first fantastic EP “Momomowha”, the high-flying producer, dj and labelhead comes along with two brilliant new tracks for the label. And once again Martinez succeeds in capturing intense moments and expanding on them, but without losing impact.

In “Le Circus” Martinez arranges different vocal samples into a rhythmic collage which build into the backbone of funk in the track. It’s precise and growing breakdowns will undoubtedly provide euphoria on the dancefloor.

“Mundial” has a percussive and intricate start but quickly evolves into an easygoing and elegant house track, which creates its incredible deepness by focusing only on the essential. "Mundial" is the kind of track which would signal early in the evening that the people in the club had most definitely come to the right place.

2009 the new Moon Harbour Compilation „Moon Harbour Inhouse Vol.3“ will be released, in which Martinez will provide an exclusive track as well the DJMix.

Fresh and on form after his very well-received second longer player „A Chemical Imbalance“ that was released on re:connected in november last year, Martinez is back again with the 4th installment in his re:connected series. He delivers yet two more slamming techno tracks .

The 12“ starts off with a track called „Expander“, which is a power full techno monster. Driven by a strong rolling baseline hook which (as the title suggests) just expands and expands thru out the track into a heavenly climax! This track is sure to rock any dance floor and it has already proven this point when Martinez dropped it in his DJ set at the closing party of Amnesia in Ibiza this summer and the dancefloor just exploded.

On the B-side Maritnez offers something more subtle and deep, but still with a strong and memorable hook melody. The track called „Rotation“ is a dark hypnotic minimal affair. With a deep and pounding 808 kick drum, a heavy sub bass and some well laid down melodies, this is a perfect moment for the warm up of the club night or fort he late afterhours.

http://martinez.kluster.org/upload/3rd.jpg

artist: martinez
title: Retrospective EP
format: 12"
3rd floor rec. cat no: 3RD008
release date: 23.04.08

Tracks:
A: retrospective
B: blue line

supported by: Raresh, Rhadoo, Cassy, Sebbo, Tiefschwarz, Mathias Kaden, Federico Molinari, Loco Dice, Serafin, Laurent Garnier and others..

These days, Martinez is gaining a lot of appreciation with his releases on Cray 1 Labworks, LoMidHigh Lmtd. and his own Re:Connected label. What a lot of people don't realize is that the man actually kicked off his music production career on the famed Chicago house label Guidance. For his second release on 3rd Floor Records, the busy Dane/Swede has come up with what we believe is a perfect mix between his house-side and his newer material with a more techno-ish touch. "Retrospective" is a hard-hitting piece of swing techno, while "Blue Line" is a deeper, slightly hypnotic house affair still with the serious injection of funk that underlines the A-side.
